HOA says "Go Away!" to Team Sports
As of May 6, 2011, a new rule was enacted that prevents organized team sports from using common areas. One sign will be posted in the large greenbelts to notify that organized sports are not allowed to use common areas for practice or games. Instead of kicking out team sports, the HOA might consider the massive north green belt as an attractive funding tool. Rather then posting a sign that prohibits group activity, we might consider posting a sign that requires groups to pay for reservation of the greenbelt. Money raised can be used to fund a reward program for owners/renters who maintain well groomed properties, or to pay for the tidying of lawns/properties of foreclosures, or to finance an annual spring block party.
